In a transformative move for Australian sport, Football Australia officially announces the selection of eight foundation clubs for a National Second Tier (NST) competition, set to begin in March/April 2025.
The new competition represents a big step forward towards enhancing the competitiveness of Australian football, developing home grown talent, and engaging local communities.
The team at Freshwater Strategy is proud to have successfully supported Sydney Olympic Football Club through a comprehensive and multi-phased application process, ensuring they took one of just 8 places for the inaugural NST competition.
Founded in 1957, Sydney Olympic is a club steeped in history, with the Club’s identity reflecting Australia’s rich diversity through the prism of football.
Sydney Olympics’ participation in the NST competition will significantly boost grassroots football, benefiting over 33,000 registered male and female players in the Canterbury-Bankstown and St George Football Competitions.
