Almost two in three voters support Australia developing more of its natural gas reserves, while a solid majority also backs a price cap on domestic gas, the latest AFR/FWS poll shows.

The Freshwater Strategy Poll, conducted exclusively for The Australian Financial Review, also finds the Albanese government is starting to consolidate power in its own right after falling across the line at the May 21 election.
